La Center Bottoms
This 314-acre park consists of
wetlands, floodplain, shoreline, and forested uplands. One of two
state-designated wildlife watching spots in Clark County, it is home to coyote,
otters, and migratory waterfowl. Bring your camera or binoculars! An 8-foot-wide
trail meanders through 3,100 feet of bird watching areas in the picturesque
wetlands. There are two viewing stations, interpretive signs, a foot bridge over
Brezee Creek, wheelchair access, and a canoe tie-up. Some of the land was
donated in a joint partnership with TDS Telecom, Clark County, Clark Public
Utilities, the city of La Center, and private ownerships. This is a premier spot
to enjoy some of the best wildlife viewing in Clark County.
