Chess Club Mondays from 5:00pm to 8:45pm All ages welcome. Informal chess play for all ages and abilities. Bring your own board and chess pieces.

Tiny-tots Storytime Wednesdays at 10:30am For ages 12 - 24 months
Toddler Storytime Thursdays at 11:00am For ages 24 - 36 months
Teen 'Scape Fridays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Teen 'Scape is a relaxing time to kick back, have fun and meet other teens. Fun-loving teens are welcome for Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, snacks, fun and friends.
Teen Manga Book Group Sunday, October 12th from 4:05pm to 4:55pm For ages 12-19 Discuss a new manga each month. Bring in manga that you''ve been reading. Meet other manga otaku!
YAAB Wednesday, October 15th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm Teens, help plan programs and events for your peers by joining your branch's Young Adult Advisory Board. Bring your friends and make new friends. For ages 12-19. Downstairs in Library Hall.
Cosplay Friday, October 17th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm For grades 6-12 Come dressed as your favorite character from a movie, book, manga, whatever! Celebrate the winners of the FVRL Fall Writing Contest. Enjoy fake battles, a costume contest, DDR, anime movies, candy sushi, prizes and more!
Book Talk Thursday, October 23rd at 6:30pm For ages 6-9 with an accompanying adult Mrs. Piggle Wiggle by Betty McDonald will be discussed. Each month a free copy of the "book of the month" will be given to those attending. No older or younger children, please.
Bonkers for Books Saturday, October 25th at 11:00am Ages 5 and up Welcome fall! Paint your own pumpkin to take home or show us your spider-tossing skills. Games, crafts, face painting and more. Costumes encouraged.
Stitch Wits Sunday, October 26th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm A drop-in group for knitters and other crafters to work on projects and share techniques. Knitting volunteers are available for assistance. Scrap yarn available for practice.
Book Discussion Group Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00pm So Long, See You Tomorrow by William Maxwell will be discussed.
Small Talk Learning Wednesday, October 29th at 10:30am A fun interactive introduction to infant/toddler sign language. Bring your young ones and let's get started!
Poetry Workshop Thursday, November 6th at 7:00pm Monthly drop-in workshop for all
ages, taught by local poets. Bring pen and paper and come prepared to write and
